Education Expo

The 2015 SXSWedu Education Expo is a free and open to the public event celebrating the Central Texas community’s hunger and passion for lifelong learning, from cradle to career and beyond. In 2014, the Education Expo brought more than 4,500 Central Texas students, parents and educators to the Austin Convention Center. With an expanded list of exhibitors and speakers for 2015, don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to explore everything that the Austin education community has to offer!

For learners of all ages, the Education Expo provides hands-on, interactive exhibits in six pavilions designed to assist attendees in navigating the event:

  • College Pavilion
  • Employer Pavilion
  • Science & Engineering Pavilion hosted by MAES
  • Continuing & Informal Education Pavilion
  • Music & Arts Pavilion
  • Health & Wellness Pavilion

Prominent speakers will engage Education Expo attendees within each pavilion, speaking on topics ranging from STEM education and college planning to informal education and local school initiatives.

SXSWedu is also proud to announce the addition of the Education Expo mentor program. Mentors will be available within each pavilion to interact with attendees in a more personal manner, answering any and all questions they may have. Stay tuned for updates to the mentor lineup.

Finally, the Education Expo is thrilled to introduce the Student Spotlight Series, held on the NEXT Stage in the Education Expo. This series will celebrate student success in the Central Texas area through various engagements including a student startup competition.
