Announcing a NEW Series of Performances for SXSWedu 2017

New for SXSWedu 2017, we are excited to introduce performances to take place throughout the event, March 6-9, 2017. The performance series will offer attendees the opportunity to experience and reflect on the value of performing arts as vehicle for deeper learning. The series will showcase performances from theatrical groups, literacy development programs, music groups and more.

American Revolution

American Revolution

A one-hour long performance, followed by Q&A with Theatre Unspeakable Artistic Director, Marc Frost and Education & Outreach Director of the Paramount Academy for the Arts, Jennifer Luck.

Come explore how live, professional performance events have the potential to activate learning in tremendous new ways. See a live performance of American Revolution and then join us in a post-show conversation exploring ways to integrate live theatre into your curriculum via in-classroom workshops, study guides, artist residencies, and the live theatre-going experience itself.

The Paramount Story Wranglers

The Paramount Story Wranglers
by the Paramount Academy for the Arts, Austin, TX

A 45-minute live performance, followed by a Q&A with Literacy to Life Program Manager, Mitch Harris and Education & Outreach Director, Jennifer Luck.

The Paramount Story Wranglers are the professional performance ensemble of the Paramount Academy for the Arts.  The primary focus of the Paramount Story Wranglers is bringing the stories of Austin 3rd graders to life through professional musical, sketch and improvised performance.
