We are humbled and honored to host the community's conversations about innovations in learning at SXSWedu. Each year we look for new and creative ways to encourage the types of conversations and the collaboration that pushes the needle forward. With that said, we are excited to share some of the NEW programming elements and events we've been working on for SXSWedu 2017. As you'll read below, much of this is inspired by the feedback that we've received from the greater community over the past year.
With SXSWedu is less than a month away we are pleased to share the most robust programming announcement of the season including Closing Program speakers Brené Brown, Sarah Elizabeth Lewis and Roberto Rivera, the 15 finalists, and emcee of the Learn by Design competition, judges and emcees of the Launch startup competition, and more!
Exciting news for SXSWedu 2017 is here! We are pleased to announce the 10 startup finalists that have been selected to compete in the sixth annual Launch competition. Additionally, the online schedule of sessions and events is also now available for you to explore by date, time and location. We've also added a number of films, Policy Forum sessions, mentors, summits and more for the Conference & Festival.
Best-selling author and 21st-century learner, Tim Ferriss will keynote SXSWedu 2017 in a conversation moderated by Charles Best, Founder and CEO of DonorsChoose.org. In an intimate fireside chat titled, The Secrets of Accelerated Learning and Mastery” Ferriss, the author of recently published Tools of Titans, will explore his commitment to the quest for knowledge.
We are excited to share that Sara Goldrick-Rab will keynote, more than one hundreds sessions have been added to the program, the Playground displays have been selected plus tons of other great announcements for the 2017 SXSWedu Conference & Festival taking place March 6-9, 2017 in Austin, Texas.
We are thrilled to unveil a brand new programming element for SXSWedu 2017 that brings to life a focus on designing the learning experience. SXSWedu's inaugural Learn by Design competition celebrates projects that are revolutionizing the way space interacts with learners to facilitate the best learning outcomes. Learn by Design was created to encourage designers and educators to work together to discover design-based solutions to challenges within education.
