There is no shortage of networking opportunities at SXSW EDU that provide attendees with diverse options to connect with like-minded individuals and accomplish their networking goals.

Whether you seek to establish professional contacts, find potential collaborators, or make new friends with shared interests, SXSW EDU offers an array of formal and casual convenings that nurture connections.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Coffee Breaks

Look forward to morning coffee breaks and grab some fuel while making connections before the Keynote.

Snack Breaks

Take a break in the afternoon and stop by the expo for some snacks while you explore the booths.

Hikes

Start your morning with a 1.5 mile guided hike around Austin’s Greenbelt, from Barton Springs to Barton Skyway, and get a glimpse of one of the most popular trails in Texas’ capital city. Make new connections and learn how you can include the outdoors in your curriculum.

Lounges

Scattered throughout the SXSW EDU venues, custom lounges supported by sponsors offer a unique space to relax, recharge, and connect with others.

Meet Ups

Meet ups are topic-focused networking events selected through PanelPicker®, which give communities at SXSW EDU the chance to connect with others who share similar passions or interests. Meet ups can take a variety of forms including group activities, facilitated networking, or focused discussions.

Mentor Sessions

Mentor sessions offer purpose-driven, one-on-one meetings between experienced professionals and attendees. Each mentor session involves a 12-minute discussion with mentors who are excited to share their insights. Participants will gain access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise, receiving tailored advice and support to navigate challenges, refine their skills, and accelerate their professional growth.

Roundtable Discussions

Roundtables are an expansion of the mentor program featuring group discussions between mentors and a small group of attendees. Led by industry experts and thought leaders, these interactive sessions provide a unique platform to share perspectives, exchange ideas, and collaborate with a diverse community. Each roundtable session is 60 minutes in duration, comprising three 20-minute discussions. At the end of each 20-minute discussion, mentors will rotate to the next table of attendees.

Pop-Up Dinners

Network with fellow attendees while enjoying a taste of Austin at pop-up dinners across downtown. Dinner reservations will have already been made, so just show up hungry to be seated with other attendees interested in meeting new people.

Socials

Mix and mingle at a number of special events including happy hours, parties, and more.

Walking Tours

Guided, hour-long walking tours around downtown provide a unique opportunity to explore Austin like a local! Connect with fellow attendees to experience the SXSW EDU vibe and culture on a new level.
