What’s Happening Today: Monday, March 5
Welcome to Austin and to day one of SXSW EDU 2018! There's no shortage of things to look forward to today, but here's a few things to put on your radar.
The opening keynote, Stories of Schooling & Getting Schooled, begins at 9:30am in Ballroom D. Remember, you have to have your registration badge to attend the session. Badges can be picked up from 8am – 8pm in Exhibit Hall 5 today. We will also be live streaming the opening keynote on Facebook. Late arrivals can tune in remotely and you can also share it with your friends and colleagues back home.
If this is your first SXSW EDU the First Time to SXSW EDU Meet Up is for you. The meet up, led by Advisory Board members and event veterans Dan Ryder and Lakita Edwards, will offer tips for making the most of your experience this week.
Today also marks opening day for the Learning Expo. Tomorrow this unique exhibition will be free and open to the public, welcoming thousands of area high schoolers, parents and teachers. Registrants are encouraged to explore the show floor today (oh and there's a happy hour at 5:00pm).
