Who Can Book?
Confirmed SXSW EDU conference registrants. Registrants include Speakers, Press, Sales/Trade Clients, Sponsors, and other official conference participants.
How to Book
Book your hotel in one of two ways:
**If you are a registered speaker you must book your hotel from your EDU Social account.
Your Shopping Cart
1. Sign-in to the SXSW shopping cart you used to register for SXSW EDU.
2. Use the drop-down menu and select “SXSW EDU Hotels”.
3. Choose "Request Hotel" for each registration you're booking a hotel for. Register multiple attendees in one shopping cart so it's easy to book their hotel all in one location.
4. Have your credit card handy and follow the simple steps to complete each hotel request.
5. Click submit! You will receive immediate confirmation of your request. Your reservation confirmation will arrive within 48 business hours.
OR
Your EDU Social account
1. Follow the instructions in the “Welcome to EDU Social” email to associate your registration to your EDU Social account.
2. Sign in to EDU Social.
3. Choose "Hotel Request."
4. Choose the orange “Book Your Hotel Reservation Now” button.
5. Have your credit card handy & follow the simple steps to complete each hotel request.
6. Click submit! You will receive immediate confirmation of your request. Your reservation confirmation will arrive within 48 hours.
How to Make Changes
Changes and cancellations must be made through SXSW Housing & Travel (not the hotel). This can be done in one of 3 ways:
Your Reservation Confirmation
1. Use the ‘Request for Change’ link at the bottom of your reservation confirmation email to make changes OR cancel your reservation.
2. Keep your reservation confirmation saved for easy reference.
Your SXSW EDU Social account
1. Sign-in to your EDU Social account.
2. Choose 'Hotel Request' in the upper right-hand corner of the social homepage.
3. Choose "Change/Cancel Reservation" to make changes to OR cancel your reservation.
Your Shopping Cart
1. Sign-in to the same SXSW Shopping Cart you used to register.
2. Use the 'SXSW EDU' dropdown in the top menu to choose 'SXSW EDU Hotels.'
3. Choose "Change/Cancel Reservation" to make changes to OR cancel your reservation.
Please review all change requests carefully before submitting.
