Podcast & Performance Formats Added to PanelPicker for SXSW EDU
New for SXSW EDU 2020, we are inviting the community to enter both podcast and performance session ideas via PanelPicker!
PanelPicker is the digital crowdsourcing platform that gives the community a voice in the sessions scheduled for SXSW EDU. Step one of PanelPicker invites the community to enter session proposals through the digital interface. Step two then re-opens PanelPicker for public voting, review, and feedback on all of the ideas entered.
Podcast
Podcasts are a brand new format for SXSW EDU. They can have two to four speakers and are one hour long. These sessions feature a podcast conversation on topics across the education landscape, hosted by media organizations and recorded in an intimate setting amongst a live audience at the event.
Performance
Performances have been a part of SXSW EDU for the past several years but were previously curated by SXSW EDU staff. Performances can have one to three speakers and are ninety minutes long. These sessions feature a dynamic performance combined with a workshop-style experience offering a deeper understanding of the concepts fueling the performance, and activities that can be adopted for the classroom.
