What’s Happening Today: Tuesday, March 7

It’s day two of SXSW EDU! Yesterday was full of excitement and energy, with many meaningful discussions, connections, and learning opportunities. Let’s continue that energy into day two – we hope you’re ready for more!

You won’t want to miss this morning’s Keynote, DESIGN-BASED LEARNING UNWRAPPED: Build Our Future with Doreen Gehry Nelson and Frank Gehry, moderated by Liz Willen. This timely conversation will explore the power of design-based pedagogy and the roles that creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration play in education.

Seven finalists will present their product or service this afternoon at the Launch Startup Competition. Later in the evening, the winner will be crowned at the Launch Competition Spotlight in Salon J of the Hilton. Be sure to also check out Leadership Journeys, presented by Big Picture Learning, to socialize with exceptional educators of color and allies in equity.
