New Opportunities for SXSW EDU 2025 Launch Startup Competition Finalists

Year after year, the SXSW EDU Launch Startup Competition has proved to be a dynamic platform for innovation in education, spotlighting entrepreneurs shaping the future of learning. Finalists, semifinalists, and winners have gained visibility, secured investment, and connected with industry leaders through their participation at the event.

At SXSW EDU, finalists take to the stage in front of a panel of judges and live audience to pitch their education startups for the chance to win one of three prizes. In the last three years, the competition has expanded its opportunities to finalists and semifinalists to demo and network with the SXSW EDU community.

This year’s competition promises to continue to be a gateway to growth, with even more opportunities for finalists, offering additional avenues to expand their impact even further at SXSW 2025.

For the first time, each Launch finalist will receive two complimentary SXSW Platinum credentials to attend SXSW 2025 allowing broader access to high-profile media professionals, venture capital investors, and angel investors.

All Launch finalists will also receive access to participate in the SXSW Pitch Demo Day on Monday, March 10 and demo their products alongside SXSW Pitch finalists.

In addition to a cash prize, the winner of the Launch Award will receive a spot on the SXSW Pitch Program to showcase their work at an evening event on Sunday, March 9.

Apply to pitch your startup at the SXSW EDU 2025 Launch Startup Competition by the Early Entry Deadline of 11:59pm PT on Sunday, September 8 to apply at an application fee of $55. The Final Entry Deadline ends 11:59pm PT on Friday, October 25 at a rate of $95.
